Terrain Events is expanding, opening our fifth venue location just outside of Boston. We are seeking a sales manager who can weave the terrain story into every tour, contract, and conversation. This is a role for a personable leader who balances high-level sales strategy with the thoughtful, bespoke service our clients expect from the URBN family of brands.

Role Responsibilities

Uphold the service standards of Menus & Venues and Terrain Events to provide friendly and responsive service to create an exceptional experience for all our clients at venue. Work hand in hand with the Associate Sales Director of Events, and leadership to continually push sales to reach monthly goals.

 

  • Manage Event Inquiries: Monitor event platforms and general inboxes to ensure prompt response to event inquiries, maintaining a high level of customer service. Creates detail-oriented contracts for all events including weddings, social, and corporate events.
  • Client Engagement: Conduct venue tours with prospective clients, calendar management, demand, and which includes some weekends and evenings.
  • Sales Strategy: Organize and follow a sales strategy to effectively reach and exceed sales targets and budget. Candidate has a strong ability to close the sale and speak thoughtfully on our product, story, and team. Communicates monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals and articulates plans of action to exceed budgets.
  • Business Growth: Identify opportunities for improvements and business growth within the venue, contributing to strategic planning and implementation. Fosters a community connection by seeking out new partnerships, contacts, and companies that would benefit from our services.
  • Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong customer relationships before and after transitioning to the Operations Team, fostering positive connections during all interactions of the sale.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with all management teams including the culinary and operations team to understand the benefits and limitations of the venue, maximizes sales throughout all seasons with support and team collaboration with timely correspondence.
  • Client Communication: Provide clear and prompt communication with guests throughout the sales experience, ensuring satisfaction and clarity. Creates detail-oriented contracts and utilizes other materials to support in the pipeline of the sale.
  • Lead Conversion: Strategizes independently and with other sales managers on how to turn leads into tours using effective communication, follow-ups, and other initiatives to close the sale successfully.

Role Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the event or hospitality industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Personable and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently manage tasks.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and event management platforms.
