The Assistant Manager at Pizzeria Vetri plays a key leadership role in supporting the front-of-house (FOH) operations. This individual ensures exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards of hospitality, leading service staff, and supporting the General Manager in daily business functions. With a focus on operational excellence and team development, the Assistant Manager helps cultivate a positive work environment and a guest-first culture that reflects Pizzeria Vetri’s commitment to warm, casual, and energetic service.
Lead by example in delivering best-in-class hospitality to every guest, ensuring all team members follow service standards and brand values.
Actively manage the dining room floor during service, including guest interaction, pacing, table turns, and problem resolution.
Assist with the recruitment, training, and performance management of FOH staff, including servers, hosts, and runners.
Support the General Manager in executing daily administrative duties including scheduling, labor management, cash handling, and sales reporting.
Maintain a well-organized, clean, and welcoming dining room that reflects brand aesthetics and health & safety protocols.
Lead and contribute to pre-shift meetings, team development initiatives, and ongoing training to promote product knowledge and service consistency.
Collaborate with the BOH team to ensure seamless service, order accuracy, and guest satisfaction.
Monitor guest feedback channels and work proactively to resolve complaints and elevate service.
Uphold local, state, and company standards regarding food safety, alcohol service, and labor compliance.
Be present and engaged during peak hours, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.
At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant environment; supervisory experience preferred.
Proven track record of guest service excellence and team leadership.
Strong communication skills and a professional, approachable demeanor.
Ability to multitask, prioritize competing responsibilities, and remain calm under pressure.
Working knowledge of POS systems (e.g., Toast), scheduling software (e.g., 7shifts), and Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with Italian cuisine or pizza-focused concepts a plus.
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.
